Ashland Sunday Night

Took Robin, Gabby & their friend Michelle to the ice rink in Lithia Park last evening. Was so different to have "chatty" girls and then they would break into song along with the "Christmas Music" on the cd player in the car. Robin has been the "only" child at home for so long and he is always so quiet riding in the back seat when we go places...

Was really fun to experience the girls,

Dropped them off to skate and Steve and I walked thru town looking at the decorations and store windows, was friggin COLD !!!!

After an hour the kids were done too. Stopped and got some warm drinks at Human Bean and drove them home by way of the best light displays in Medford.

Really a fun evening.

PS Just found out my friend Anne's (Queen Anne) mom passed away down in Bakersfield from a massive stroke . Anne was able to get on a plane within a couple of hours of recieving the news and her mom was transfered from her hometown in Ridgecrest to Bakersfield where she passed away later that night. Tim and the boys will be driving down later this week. Keep them in your prayers....

Office Christmas Party

Well all the pictures from the party are on Doc's camera so will have to post those later, these I took when I got home.

Had to show all my loot....

So we meet at the mall and gather on some benches near one of the entrances, along comes Doc and his wife Dena. Doc has red antlers on and he pulls santa hats out of a bag and we all have to put them on and take group pictures( I am sure all the shoppers are getting a kick out of the big production) Then he hands out envelopes and we get our instructions to spend 1 1/2 hours shopping and can only buy things for ourselves then meet back at the same spot. We all open the envelope at the same time and have a hundred $$$ bill. Ready... set.... go ! I am not so sure about the clothes I have put on hold the night before so decide to make a sweep of all the stores. What I really want is a nice camera bag for my new Canon Rebel....... But no camera shop in the mall. Well I check a few places and then decide to be practical and head to bath & body for hand soaps. Well they are pretty well picked over at this point so only get 3 for $10. Check a few more stores for a camera bag and no luck..... Well I am passing Wilsons leather and think hmmmmm

I go in and ask, "sorry no camera bags, but maybe this men's kit bag will work?" She wants to make a sale.....

I look at the beautiful black leather bag and tell her about the shopping spree I am on...... The bag does look like it would work.

Different large compartments ..... Very sturdy..... and on sale for $79. I take it and buy leather conditioner too !

This leaves me with $4 and since before we went I have been dying for a drink of water. ( all the excitement) Well I splurge and get an iced tea instead.

We all meet back and the mall bench and have a show and tell of our purchases. A few went over $$$ and a few were under $$$, lots of clothes, new holiday linens and dishes for Lori, waffle maker for Amanda.

Off to Porters now.... And more gifts !!!!! In between courses we play this "white elephant game" only doc bought all the gifts and they are really nice, 2 mp3 players I scored one of them, facial spa kit, travel mug and coffee assortments, fleece throw.

We all got a large bag from Dena, she just got back from taking the two grandkids to Hawaii Friday night, in it were asorted gift special to the islands and a hand painted ornament and fresh flower lei !!

Then our gift exchange from the names we drew, I got doc and he got me, I gave him a Mt Dew Tshirt, fridge pack of Dew, tennis balls and some sort of things for his tennis racket!? He got me a digital photo frame.

Desert for everyone and then an envelope with our "BONUS" check !!!!

Like we hadn't gotten enough already !!!

Now That guy is generous almost to a fault, I know he does all the shopping for us, not sending his wife. I am very lucky to have found my way back to working for him,

Had a fun evening last night...

Went to a purse party at Laurie's house, all my GF's there...

Bought a "little" something????

Then to the mall to meet Robin & Jordan for some more shopping...

Ran into Anita, Janie and Marna !!!!!!

Put a few things on hold for my office party shopping spree today,

Is that cheating ????

So it is our office Christmas Party tonight, first we meet at the mall and Doc plays Santa and hands out some $$$$$$$$ for us girls to run and spend just on ourselves....

Then to Porters for dinner and gift exchange, I drew Doc's name.

Should be lots of fun.

So now here's the thing, I apparently have some faithful readers of my blog !!!??? You know who you are and I know a few of you...

So I feel very generous and would like to give a Holiday gift to one of you for being so faithful.

All you have to do is leave a comment this week and next Saturday on my mug shot post I will draw a name from all the comments and send somebody a "SWEET" gift !!! How does that sound ?????

Went to the cookie exchange last night

The "GOODIES" have been pouring in at work, just what we need....

WHEWWWWW !

I started baking last night, mom came over this morning and by 3:00 this afternoon we had made over 16 dozen cookies !!! Yes folks that is roughly 200 cookies !! 8 dozen for me and 8 dozen of a different kind for mom ! These would be for a cookie exchange we are going to at Brooke's on Wednesday. And in between I worked on the glass ornaments, and even made 4- 8inch mittens and 4- 10 inch stockings to take to work to match the holiday decorations ( read back a couple blog spots)
It is now 7:30 and I have taken some ibuprofen and am heading up to soak in a hot bath, then lay in bed and watch my desperate housewives !
