Christmas Eve...

Smith Family tradition is on Christmas Eve day they go out to the shooting range...
The Smith "boy's" were avid hunters with their dad growing up, Dad is still very much involved in the shooting club and hunting...
Robin who never fired a gun until last year, turns out is a "natural" sharp shooter.....
guess those video game growing up fine tuned his hand /eye coordination and he hit the target darn near every time..
Uncle Terry has a muzzle loader which we all enjoy a turn at loading and taking a shot.
We then returned home and my mom and Robin opened gifts from us..then headed back home.
We hosted the Smith Family Christmas Eve gift exchange and spent a couple hours going around the room watching everyone open their gifts...Grandma Marriann is always a hoot....
We all are so blessed to have so much.
DJ and Leslieann were missed but arrive on Monday and 94 year old Grandpa John wasn't able to attend was feeling sick and ended up in the hospital on Christmas Morning, dehydrated and possible infection may be there a couple days. Chad and I sat with him until 10:30 and then Erik and Linda took the night shift. He needs someone to stay with him due to his confusion, but overall he still has a sense of humor..

I have had a couple job interviews this week so things are looking up

was getting a little discouraged after 6 months and applying for over 100 jobs and only getting a handfull of interviews...

don't have any news yet but will let you know as soon as I hear something..

December...

This is Lily, I'll say she is Chadd's kids cat..
but she lives with us...
we have an understanding
I stay out of her space and she stays out of mine...
the other morning when it was extra "COLD" out side she was snug as a bug on the bed.. didn't know she was there until i turned on the light , well you can see by her reaction, she didn't care for that...
and she made me smile........ : ))

Thankful for my family

Mona and Dave arrived Tuesday afternoon, just about an hour after we got back from Medford after Chadd had LASIK eye surgery, and now no longer needs to wear the glasses he has worn for the last 30 years......
Thursday Mom & Robin came over and we had a wonderful dinner then Mona opened her birthday gift, actual birthday was Friday...hit Chadd's family for pie in the evening....
Got up Friday morning and decided to head over to the coast, Brookings....
Mona & Dave in their truck and would continue on home down HWY 101 on Saturday....
Was quite stormy but we were quite cozy in out rooms at Ocean Suites...after driving around to show Mona & Dave our haunts....
NO Chadd did not cut the turkey, just wanted that picture for his brother....

Holiday Open House...

My friend Brooke who teaches cooking classes here in GP invited me to her invitation only Holiday Open House , held at the cute La Bella Casa Design, last night...

Asked me if I would bring my camera and snap some pics...

It was beautiful, she made some yummy hors d' oeuvres...

And Leanne the shop owner has it decorated beautifully for the holidays , offered a 25% discount on holiday items..
