Eagle Crest Resort

Heading off this afternoon to Redmond, OR for a workshop tomorrow. Doc left yesterday for classes today. The staff are staying in a Condo. Ashlee and I are the only ones staying the night Friday and taking our time to drive home Saturday. Maybe stop for site seeing and shopping. I don't have to be in my class until 1:00 Friday so I am having a massage in the morning....

Had fun this afternoon posting lines from "Steel Magnolias"as I watched it on tv to Robin & Laurie, you have to be part of the "IN" croud to get that.....

Do you all remember Kelly from No Bare Pages? She was new to the area and we sat and scrapped with her and her sister came one time, well she walked into our office today . She has gone to work for the new Endo Office in Ashland. I gave her my phone number and she is going to get in touch, told her a bunch of us would be at Scrapbook King this Saturday....

Went to Ashland yesterday afternoon to watch this play with Mom, Janie & Anita (Thanks again Janie for great deal on tickets) It was really cute had a very interesting "TWIST" in the second half........

Did you see that RED sun last night?? I ran out to take a couple pictures and darn if my camera battery wasn't dead??? Could have been from the 100 pictures I took the night before of the sunset.... So off I go to grab my backup camera and "What the ???" dead battery in it too !!!!!!!

Moral of the story, " Always make sure you have a charged battery for your camera, you never know when the MONEY shot will turn up"

Call me CRAZY...

Well I just reserved "The Pointe" cabin at Suttle Lake near Sisters for next year , weekend of the Quilt show, will be first come first serve..sleeps 8 think we could squeeze in 10. Would leave early Friday morning to drive up have all day to check out Bend etc check in is 4:00pm, spend all evening at the cabin, then drive into Sisters for quilt show Saturday morning, check out 11:am Sunday.

I am sure that, me, mom, Mona will go, probably, Janie, Anne and Jana ( from CA) that leaves 4 spots open...

with 8 people it will be around $153.80 each, if we have 10 people $123.05 each, that is total for both nights,include tax.

Fun with the UPS man

We have the greatest UPS man ( don't even know his name) but he is so fun when he comes into our office....

Ashlee, Kellee & I were out walking at lunch yesterday and saw the UPS truck driving towards us up the road, next thing we know he drives up on the sidewalk(shhhhhh don't tell) and right up to us.

Well we are always on the lookout to take a pic with our camera phones and couldn't pass up this opportunity....

So we took pictures of him while he took pictures of us.


Also I was a bad girl, QVC has Birkenstock on and I watched last night and controled my urge to buy some but this morning I bought 2 pair....

Well it may not be the Sisters Quilt show, but GF Anne and I are going out to Jacksonville to see the quilts on display out there.

Last weekend was Anne's birthday, ( Happy Belated Birthday) and she went to Alaska to see her sister.....

She made me this beautiful lap quilt for my birthday this year.

Guess I won't be going scrapbooking at SK after all today.

Had some excitement in the back yard this morning, guess a family of robins were giving the youngsters flying lessons and one ended up on the patio... well Winnie went to check it out and all of a sudden the loudest racket and birds diving, it was like a war zone.... we checked out baby and it seemed fine, between birds diving at us and keeping Winnie away managed to scoop her up and deposit her on the other side of the fence. then a calm settled over the yard again.......

am having some computer problems on my laptop GRRRRR, Robin says I am being hijacked??? Going to have to work on it.

Sisters Quilt Show

In July 1999 us "SISTERS" went to "SISTERS" Oregon to the quilt show, had a great fun weekend....

Janie is off to "SISTERS" with her new camera and a friend to view the quilt show this weekend....

Talked to my friend Anne and we decided next year we are going to go to "SISTERS" with our "SISTERS" for the quilt show who else wants to join us?????

Whirlwind weekend

WOW.....

Had a great but busy weekend. decided to skip the 4th of July parade in CP this year, just stayed home and got ready for the BBQ. Had some out of town quest come in from Ukiah. My friend from junior high and high school, her name was LAURA DAVIS as was mine... Well her little sister Wendy, husband Brian and daughter Sophy were in town looking to relocate to southern Oregon. So they came over for the BBQ. I haven't seen Wendy since she was a kid. My mom and her mom are friends so they have seen each other over the years and mom invited them to stay at her place in J'ville while they were here. Since they really didn't even know where to start looking for houses, I said I would give them the tour of the valley. So on Saturday morning we took off looking at houses and neighborhoods. Spent the whole day checking stuff out. Took a break for the girls, Sophy's friend Jessica was with them, and stopped at the water park off Stewart Ave so they could cool off. Today they had an appointment to look at a house in Jacksonville, so I drove out to go with them, very cute near the little park. The girls decided to cool off one more time there. At 1:00 I headed home to get things ready for my week ahead and they had appointment to see two more houses in J'ville. We had a great time, hope they find what they are looking for and relocate up here soon.

On the 4th several of Robin's friends came over and we shot off our fireworks. Brett & Belle were here and Robin & Carson , Kristi & Sage came by for awhile( Loved the potato salad !!) Over all a great weekend !! Hope yours was too.

Oh yeah almost forgot , we also had the snowcone maker !!!!
