Sad News Yesterday

I am still reeling from the e-mail I received yesterday. I reconnected with a grade school friend through Classmates.com a few years ago. She moved to Indiana during High School and I had lost touch with her until I saw her name on classmates. We started e-mailing and catching up on the last 30 plus years. She had been married for 20 years and had no children, they had a vacation home in Florida that they rented out when not in use by them. She had struggled with her weight(who hasn't) and also with depression. She wanted to attend the 30 year class reunion in 06, but just couldn't swing it. We even talked on the phone a couple times trying to figure out a way to meet somewhere and catch up on old times. I knew her father had passed away last year and her precious 14 year old dog. I continued to send her pictures and forward e-mails even though I hadn't heard back from her in a few months.
Yesterday I received a reply from something I had forwarded to her over the weekend, only it was her husband with the difficult task of telling me that on Sunday he came home to find that Julia had taken her own life.........
Whatever demons haunted her became to much for her to manage.
I will always remember her beautiful youthful smile, as I never saw a picture of her as an adult.

Robin's Prom Night

Robin told me yesterday that he decided to go to the Prom, that is tonight........
No he didn't have a date so no need for a tux or corsage.....
Would just be meeting a bunch of friends for dinner then to the Country Club for the dance.....
OK that's easy.

I spent from 11:30-5:30 helping at the concession stand at the High School Tennis Tournament, even though Robin was not playing....

Will be helping out again tomorrow.

"Class of 1976" Ukiah High

This is my classmate Jeff Burrell, Standout Football and Baseball star, Successful Ukiah High Teacher and girls basketball coach...
He was arrested in Ukiah on Wednesday for having a commercial marijuana growing operation in a rented storage unit, was in deep financial trouble, guess he thought this was the way out....

Way to ruin your life Mr. Burrell !!!

Got a call at work about 4:00pm, Anne got two free tickets thru the college, so do I want to go ? Sure I am not one to turn down FREE tickets so off we went even tho it was a work night.....

OK wasn't expecting that take on it??? Very entertaining....
Was funny, and very different modern take on a Shakespere play....

really was no big deal, mixed the powder with carbonated drinks and it had no taste or smell, did however drink 20-8 oz drinks between 12 noon and 6:00pm.

hoping I can still get to work before noon, it is massage day !

Robin is the BEST !!

He "Nailed" his recital piece !!!! Thought he was going to get a standing ovation....

Everyone congratulated him on such a fine performance.

I knew he would do it.....

Then off to a costume birthday party, made his own costume.....

Had a blast at the "Musical" last night, front row center, a small theater and everything white trailer trash you could imagine takes place in Armidillo Acres Trailer Park, Stark Florida....

3:00 today is Robin's piano recital, playing "Rachmaninoff Prelude in G Minor" at the A frame church off Crater Lake Ave in front of North Medford High... Come if you can.

Busy weekend around here, cleaning my scrapbook room, don't want any of my party guest next weekend to see what a hoarder I am.....

We made crowns today.....

Babysat Jordan & Carson today and this is what we did.....

They are leaving for Disneyland tomorrow so Jordan and I made crowns for the whole family........

Mona and Jana and my two "mystery" guest will be here on Friday the 11th, we are meeting in Ashland with mom who is housesitting, and will have lunch with her.
